coFu

coFu, incorporated in May, 2004, has developed an Internet search technology that enables the user to search more effectively. With coFu's web browser plug-in, searchers can obtain personalized search results from virtually any existing search engine. Results are organized to reflect the user's interests and are based on data collected as he, and users with similar online behavior, browse the Internet. This free tool seamlessly enhances the results provided by any search engine.

Kyle Scholz, president and founder of coFu, began developing the company after recognizing that the behavior analysis technologies used on popular e-commerce sites to recommend products, could be applied on a much larger scale to provide search results that are relevant to individual users. Prior to attending RIT, Kyle was the founder and President of MediaWave Incorporated, located in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kyle is a 5th year Software Engineering major at Rochester Institute of Technology and expects to graduate in May, 2005. coFu joined RIT HTI as a member of the Student Business Development Laboratory in the spring of 2004.
